Cats are Our Mission

Founded by community cat trappers in Northern California, PAWSitive
Chances Animal Rescue
is a tax deductible 501c3 organization, dedicated to finding the financial resources to provide veterinary care to the homeless cats in West Contra Costa County.

Our volunteers perform TNR (Trap Neuter Return) to an estimated 450,000 cats in
our county. Working with local business, our goal is to spay/neuter, microchip,
vaccinate, and provide any other medical services to homeless cats in our area.

At PAWSitive Chances Animal Rescue, we focus on actions that make a long-lasting difference to homeless cats. Our goal is to work with local business on creating a community TNR Fund at local vets in the area. By educating the public, we hope to
encourage our neighbors to conduct TNR on their neighborhood homeless cats.
Your tax deductible donation will be used at veterinary hospitals
and food.

Our colony caretakers keep a watchful eye for any new cats that may have
been dumped at known colony sites. By raising money to improve their quality of
life, an animal in need is given a second chance at life, love, and
happiness.

TNR Saves Lives

You have helped the cats above. Your tax deductible donation has made a difference! Each one of them has been sterilized, vaccinated, microchipped, and  released back to their area. TNR Works! Click here to see more cats you have helped.

Quality of Life

It’s hard living outside, but sterilized cats have a better quality of life here when they are TNR’d. No fighting for mates, babies are not fighting to survive, and larger predators are not drawn into populated areas. As Bob Barker says, Help control the animal population, have your pet spayed or neutered.”
